Erasmus+ project 2024
Welcome to the Erasmus project homepage for the project LIONFISH
Our Erasmus project is dedicated to tackling today's pressing environmental and climate change challenges. We aim to raise awareness about the critical need for a green transformation, adapting to new ways of interacting with our environment and embracing innovative solutions.
Our Goals
We seek to increase awareness of climate change and enhance STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) knowledge among school students. To achieve this, we've developed an exciting VR adventure and an educational role-playing manual. One highlight of our project is the successful testing of Biosphere VR in Danish schools, where students experienced climate change firsthand through virtual reality.
By collaborating with European partners, including the CYENS Centre of Excellence under the Technical University of Cyprus, we aim to create high-quality, creative educational tools that can be explored and utilised across Europe.
What we do
END OF LINE VR Experience: This VR film features a Cypriot fisherman and his son dealing with the challenges of climate change. It's a unique way to bring climate issues to life and is available online for widespread use.
Innovative teaching resources, created by the CYENS Centre of Excellence, make learning about STEM and climate change interactive and engaging. These resources include sensory experiences by the sea and sessions with programmable robots.
Conferences and Communication: We actively participate in national and international conferences to promote our project and share our outcomes. Many schools have been informed and are now part of our initiative.
Join us in exploring innovative ways to educate and inspire the next generation about the importance of climate action and STEM education. Together, we can make a difference.
